EHS
Initiative
Responsibility to the Environment and Community has occupied an
important place in Excel's corporate thinking. This is
also expressed explicitly in our Mission Statement. We
have identified Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) as
one of the priority areas for fulfilling this
responsibility.
EHS is an integral component of our "Manufacturing
Excellence Programme" (MEP). Our EHS initiative is based
on the philosophy of "Continuous Improvement". It
comprises a comprehensive, formal and documented EHS
program consisting of 16 well defined modules. Each
module is assigned to a "steward" to ensure focused
attention. Thus we make sure that EHS is organically
incorporated into the job profile of each and every
member.
External recognition in the form of awards for EHS is an indicator of the success of our EHS
initiative. |
